OUR STORY

Auchtertool House

Auchtertool House is a Category B-listed Georgian house, built around 1830. The house is situated in 3 acres of gardens, with lawns, mature trees and several rhododendrons which bring vibrant colour to the garden in the spring. The house looks out over fields, towards the hills to the north of Burntisland, with the Firth of Forth and Edinburgh beyond. In the grounds we have our Lodge, a unique log-cabin which sleeps five and is available to book through Airbnb.

We also run Fife Foliage from the house, supplying high quality foliage, grown in our own garden, to florists in Edinburgh and the East of Scotland.

Your hosts, Michael and Jonathan, bought Auchtertool House 5 years ago after living in Edinburgh and Amsterdam. Arranging and hosting events at the house was always our plan – the original plan has grown to include lunches and dinners, accommodation in the Lodge and growing and supplying foliage to florists.
